Protest demands return of lands in Paravipanchan

Residents of a Kilinochchi village resumed a protest this week calling for the return of their military-occupied lands.

Landowners from Paravipanchan had held ongoing protest in 2016 which had seen the return of parts of their lands.

However some families have still been denied their properties from the army, with around 13 acres still under army occupation.
