New batch of Sri Lankan marines pass out in Trinco

A new cohort of Sri Lankan marines participated in a passing out ceremony in Trincomalee earlier this month.

In this current batch, 152 Sri Lankan marines completed their training.

“They now join the SLN’s elite Marine Battalion renowned for their dexterity in a wide variety of warfare which include executing amphibious operations with precision and defending the island-nation from enemy attacks, descending on any part of its coast at short notice,” stated an official military website.
