Former Sri Lankan Air Force officer arrested with unregistered pistol

 

A former pilot with the Sri Lankan Air Force was arrested at Colombo airport this morning, after he was found to be carrying an unregistered pistol.

The officer, reportedly to be currently working for a domestic airline in Kenya, was found to have the pistol in his luggage. He had planned to board a flight to Dubai, reports the Daily Mirror.

He was arrested by Negombo police and will be brought before the Magistrate’s Court.
