Yemen foreign minister rejects calls for peace talks

The Yemeni Foreign Minister Riyadh Yaseen rejected the former president’s calls for peacetalks in a statement made on Sunday.

Speaking at a news conference in London, Mr Yaseen said,

“These calls are unacceptable after all the destruction Ali Abdullah Saleh has caused. There can be no place for Saleh in any future political talks.”

The statement came as the Saudi led coalition performed several airstrikes on Houthi militant targets in Yemen on Sunday.
